Code of Conduct

Last updated October 29, 2026

Kenergy Performance programs work best when everyone feels safe, respected and free to learn. This Code of Conduct applies to every athlete, parent, guardian, family member and spectator at our sessions, camps, events and virtual sessions, at every venue, and in messages and online spaces connected to our programs. Our coaches follow our Safe Sport Policy, which sets out their own standards.

01

Everyone

  • Treat athletes, coaches, staff, volunteers, facility staff and other families with respect and courtesy.
  • No abuse, harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats or violence of any kind, in person or online. This includes comments about someone's body, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or background.
  • Follow the rules and safety instructions of coaches and each facility.
  • No alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, vaping or other drugs at any session, and never arrive impaired.
  • Respect privacy. Don't photograph or film other people's children without their parent's permission, and never in changerooms or washrooms.
  • Respect the Rule of Two: coaches will not be alone and out of sight with a youth athlete, and we ask families not to request it.
  • Raise concerns calmly and privately, with the head coach or by email, not in front of athletes.

02

Athletes

  • Arrive on time, ready to train, with the gear and water you need.
  • Listen to your coaches, give your best effort and support your teammates.
  • Tell a coach right away if you're hurt, feel unwell or feel unsafe.
  • Look after the equipment and the facility.
  • Use phones only with a coach's permission during sessions.
  • Never bully, exclude or make fun of another athlete. Speak up or tell a coach if you see it happening.
  • Respect changeroom privacy. No phones or cameras in changerooms.

03

Parents and guardians

  • Drop off and pick up on time, at the meeting point we give you, and tell us who is picking up your athlete.
  • Let the coaches coach. Please don't give technical instructions from the side during sessions.
  • Keep comments positive. No yelling at, criticizing or pressuring your own athlete, other athletes or coaches.
  • Share any health, injury or wellbeing information we need to keep your athlete safe, and keep it up to date.
  • Support your athlete's wellbeing over results. Our Raising Champions parent sessions are there to help.
  • Communicate with us by email at hello@kenergyperformance.com. Coaches won't message youth athletes privately, and we ask parents not to ask them to.

04

Spectators

  • Watch only where the venue allows, and stay out of training areas unless invited.
  • Cheer for effort and keep it positive for every athlete.
  • Follow facility rules and any direction from coaches or facility staff.

05

Online and social media

  • No harassing, threatening or demeaning messages or posts about athletes, families or coaches.
  • Don't post photos or videos of other athletes, especially minors, without their parent's permission.
  • Don't share private information about any athlete or family.

06

If the Code of Conduct is broken

We respond fairly and in proportion to what happened. Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  • have a private conversation and a verbal reminder;
  • give a written warning by email;
  • ask the person to leave the session or venue;
  • remove an athlete from a session or program, or bar a parent or spectator from attending;
  • end a person's or family's participation in current and future programs.

Serious incidents, like violence, threats, abuse or anything that puts an athlete at risk, can lead straight to removal and may be reported to the facility, police or child protection services. Removal for a breach of this Code is not eligible for credit or refund, except where the law requires it. Anyone affected can ask for the decision to be reviewed by emailing us within 7 days.

07

Reporting a concern

We never retaliate against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
